How do attain the level, “Exceeding Expectations” for your project?

1 Knowledge and skills application
a) Process (gathering and processing information): Group Project File

• Your group acquires relevant information from a variety of reliable sources.
• Your group identifies essential guiding questions regarding global warming, climate change and alternative sources of clean energy.
• Your group shows competence in analysing the information and making personal convincing and perceptive inferences about the consequences to the earth and creating a product with applied knowledge.
• Your group generates and selects ideas on how to present the information effectively in the report.
• Your group shows considerable evidence of evaluating and improving the inferences made, making checks on the accuracy of information, so that your reports are useful and relevant to readers.

b) Product (The news articles)
• Your articles show your group has made thorough use of knowledge and skills from Science, Geography and providing useful and relevant information to potential environmentalists and leaders.
• The articles show a high level of creativity and thoughtfulness in other relevant subjects to complete the articles.
• Your group is highly successful in applying knowledge to create a product for the theme.
• The main ideas in your articles are consistently clear and presented with depth, effectively supported with facts, vivid details and appropriate examples.
• The articles are well organised and coherent.

a) Presentation as a group

• The group presentation is very well organised as a whole; each member’s part is very well linked to another.
• The overall presentation is highly effective because your group has taken into consideration the audience’s needs and interests. The visual aids or IT you use are effective.
• Your group is able to answer the questions raised by the audience well, showing excellent understanding of the project.
